Making the greater gift possible.

That’s what we do every day. Whether it’s purchasing bicycle helmets for kids in Lake County or generating funds for a major piece of cancer-fighting technology, we provide a much-needed resource for health care programs and projects in our community. What’s different about us, however, is that we’re independent, so we can be flexible and creative in responding to grant requests.

Simply put, we have the ability to identify and support the people who need it most.

Since 1973, the Miller-Dwan Foundation has distributed over $14,000,000 in funding for projects at Miller-Dwan Medical Center and at more than fifty community nonprofit organizations that meet health care needs.

We also serve the needs of the Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center, where, in 1997, we became the principle charitable entity. This occurred when Polinsky’s foundation, the Van Gorden Foundation, merged with the Miller-Dwan Foundation, allowing us to further an already active focus on the needs of people with disabilities.

Since the very beginning, our broad reach has been a hallmark of the Foundation, and it has helped us continue our commitment to helping donors fulfill their charitable intent.
